Here are your 2017 AFR Final Standings


Eligibility:  ANY Contestant with 1 Point is eligible for finals. All Points are posted on under the AFR Series link.  September 15th & 16th at Dolph are MEMBERSHIP ONLY Rodeos. Each member is guaranteed 5pts in each event entered each day; therefore All Members who compete are eligible for AFR Finals.

Points & Awards:  Points double at finals.  Weekend average receives points with 10pts for 1st and 1pt for 10th. All Youth Events and top Open contestants will receive an award. All events guaranteed Year-End Reserve & Average Buckles. All Year-End Saddles provided by Saddle Sponsorships.  Please verify your points by October  14, Yellville Turkey Trot AFR.  Any questions must be submitted by Oct. 14.
All Around Cowboy/Cowgirl. A contestant must accumulate at least 200 points in 2 events.  All Around is determined prior to finals and based on accumulated points in ALL events.

Finals Forms & Fees:  AFR Finals Application Form is available at or from the AFR secretary at the rodeos.  MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER than Oct. 22.  Dolph 2:00 Rodeo.   If Mailing, must be postmarked BEFORE Oct. 22. Finals Fees are doubled at Finals. ALL Contestants must compete BOTH days to receive an award. Finals Fees may be paid at any AFR Rodeo or postmarked before Oct. 22nd.

Team Ropers—List your Open & Pro-Am partners separately and check if your partner is heading or heeling on your AFR Finals Entry Form. PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR PARTNERS PRIOR to submitting your entry form. The Top 10 Headers/Heelers will have ONE run in the performance (list first on the AFR Finals Entry Form) and all others will be in Slack.


TOP SALES AWARD! Finalist that sells the most ads will receive a TOP SALES AWARD BUCKLE, FREE 2018 MEMBERSHIP & ONE FREE ENTRY in their age division at each rodeo in the 2018 season!! Any Finalist selling over $500 in ads receives a 2018 Dolph Truck Pass to ALL Dolph rodeos.  Ads may be submitted at Membership Rodeo Sept 15th through Yellville AFR Oct. 14th.  Ad forms available at or at any AFR rodeo.

To receive an AFR Finals Jacket, each Finalist must submit a minimum of $50 sponsorship. This entitles Finalist to one $50 size as or two $25 size ads as shown on Ad Form.  Ads Must Be Print Ready!  Orders will be taken at Dolph Membership Rodeo.  We will have sample sizes at Membership Rodeo Sept. 15 & 16.  Family of AFR Finalists may purchase an AFR Jacket for $100.


DRESS CODE will be strictly enforced both Friday & Saturday INCLUDING Slack. ANYONE inside the arena, back pens, and behind the bucking chutes must be in FULL Dress Code one hour before and after rodeo and will be enforced by our Judges and Rand Rodeo Personnel.  There is a 10 point/second penalty for dress code violation.

ALL Top 10 Contestants will run in the Friday 7pm and Saturday 2pm Shows—including Poles & Goat Tying; all others will run in slack. ALL Rough Stock will run in the Performance. No exhibitions at finals.

Friday Slack will run Friday night following the Performance.  Saturday Slack will run Saturday morning beginning at 9a.m. Order of Events will be posted at

Weekend Average: 

  • A contestant must make at least 20% of the 2015 AFR rodeos in order to compete for the Weekend Average Buckle or Payout at Finals, i.e. 10 AFR rodeo dates.
  • 20% of Open Payout will be paid to the weekend average winners. All Open Events will have a weekend average winner.
  • NEW: 4D Barrels.  Each D will have a weekend average winner.
  • Weekend Average Winners will receive 10 points for 1st place through 1 point for 10th

AFR Photograph:  An AFR group photo will be taken Saturday during the rodeo.  Time will be announced.  We ask ALL Finalists, workers, and sponsors to be in the photograph in dress code.


AFR Complimentary Dinner will be served at 4:00.  Awards Presentations will begin at approximately 6:00.  ALL Saddles, Buckles, Prizes, Payout, Weekend Average, & All Around Cowboy & Cowgirl will be presented at the Award Presentation.
